Cyprus Green Points

Below you can find information about the current licensed Green Points in Cyprus cities.
Green Points are drop-off points (centers) that can be used by any citizen for FREE disposal of their recyclable waste that can’t be put out for collection with household waste.At those Green Points there are special arrangements and areas where you can place specific waste items such as paper, glass, textiles, green waste, furniture, etc.
Each person can transfer up to 50kg of those waste materials per visit, with maximum quantity 1 ton in period of 6 months.
Upon arrival at each Green Point, you will be given instructions by a staff member on how to dispose your waste (complete a form regarding the goods you will dispose of and then shown where you must take the waste items).
In case of illegal garbage dumps, an inspector can impose strict fines for the polluters.Please follow the instructions given to you at each Green Point.
If you cannot transfer your waste at the Green Point, you may contact your municipality and they collect it for you, charging you the relevant amount based on the volume of it.

LARNACA / FAMAGUSTA
6 Green Points were operational until summer 2019 in Larnaca-Famagusta district.
A new one (in Paralimni) is expected to get licensed in the near future.

Due to some operational problems, the Larnaca / Famagusta municipalities have temporarily terminated the contract with the responsible company and shut down the Green Points.
A skip is currently placed outside the Green Points.

8 Green Points are operational in Nicosia district.
3 new ones will be created in the municipalities of Aglantzia, Latsia and Lakatamia soon.
